Realization

I like Deb, I really do. I gave her $1000.00 to edit my two manuscripts so I can upload them to Kindle.

But I realize editors don't go to see their writers, esp if they have a lot of notes the author won't like.

Is this why I'm stalled? I intend to work on Snaketown right away. I will email it to Deb early July, with my new plan.

I feel good about this. Still worth a thousand. I helped a friend and she will have a leisurely time to edit my book at her home.

Oddly enough, I started work on Copernicus today. Bob Peck's play.

Ok, I know what happens

And did I ever do a shitty job on Snaketown!

I know what they do (jeep - 4 wheel - to Fish Creek Hill) and hike on foot. I know the basic configuration of the area, and it's a popular hiking destination.

UB loved it!

Countdown to ...

Something. Not sure what.

Tomorrow I go to the Eye doctor. I have the squiggle something floating in my left eye. I'm going to see the opthamologist tomorrow, the one who did the cataract surgery on this eye in 2003. Never had a problem with either eye (right in 2006).

Deb comes in June

She's my editor.

I made a reservation yesterday at the Best Western Apache Junction. It occurs to me that I should actually see the Apache Trail ;) I also will take a jeep tour of the Trail. Take lots of pictures.

Oddly enough, this has jump started thoughts of plot points, and the numerous errors I wrote in Snaketown. Instead of being pissed about not winning the Hillerman last year, if I fix a better revised manuscript this June, I'll have a wonderful submission.

I still want to put the Natty Bee adventures on Kindle. I'm listening to Under Wraps right now.

Perversely, I am thinking of book three. Ceramicist and Sensitive Detective Agency? How many psychic art crimes are there?

Oh yeah, Doug's from Colorado. Which is why Natty shows him the Apache Trail. Doh!

Welcome!

This will be the home of Natty Bee & Dia, two old friends from the University of Arizona. Not really by choice, but they will be solving mysteries. By the third one, they like their mysteries, which in itself causes trouble!

1. Snaketown

2. Book of Dia
